A new survey has found that there has been a significant rise in itchy skin conditions, namely eczema and psoriasis, as a result of the recession.
The British Association of Dermatologists surveyed 105 medical experts who specialise in skin conditions and found that over 40% had seen a sharp rise in stress-related skin conditions such as eczema and psoriasis.[quote]The survey found that the recession was taking it’ greatest toll on eczema sufferers, with skin experts seeing the sharpest rise in reported cases of eczema, with psoriasis coming in as the second highest rise.[/quote]
Other skin conditions that have seen a more moderate rise are vitiligo and acne.
